THE MOST COMPACT WORK CLASS ROV ON THE MARKET

Lowering vessel and mobilisation costs whilst giving you the power to undertake demanding operations

Atom is an ultra-compact work class ROV comparable in size to a large electric ROV. The vehicle is suitable for renewable applications, drill support, survey and light construction duties and can be mobilised on vessels and rigs with limited deck space.

Atom’s high power to size ratio makes it an effective performer in high currents. Designed with ease of operation and maintenance in mind, the Atom boasts our latest DVECSII distributed control, graphical displays and pilot aids, coupled with proven powerful Curvetech® components.

Atom can be supplied as a complete package with SMD’s Compact Tether Management System and 6te or 8te Launch and Recovery System.

Lightweight robotics

Available in various depths up to 6000m, Atom is interchangeable with our other ROVs, allowing for easy fleet management. With a small deckprint, this ROV is aimed at customers requiring a low logistics solution.

The lightweight Atom can be supplied with our DVECSII automated dynamic positioning system which includes unique features such as sonar lock and structure orbit.

The vehicle can also connect with HD cameras and serial and ethernet instruments quickly and efficiently. Full pilot and co-pilot graphical feedback is provided via advanced SCADA displays. Atom also includes comprehensive real time diagnostics, data logging and remote connectivity.

The 100hp central HPU can divert up to 100% of its power from propulsion to tooling and vice versa. This results in strong in-current performance and permits operation of tools normally reserved for much larger machines.

Atom employs a super rigid T6082 aluminium lightweight chassis ensuring tight control in high current and accurate manipulator work. All our ROVs are fitted with proven and reliable Curvetech® components which are mounted on slide out runners and twist/release mechanisms for fast change out and ease of maintenance.
