From account managers to field engineers, SMD is the proud employer of over 200 staff in the North East of England, each of whom makes an invaluable contribution to our growing business.
We passionately believe in supporting people from all backgrounds and education levels into technical roles and many of our team join us through our apprenticeship and graduate programmes.
Simon Prior did just that. Having joined as an apprentice in 2010, he was given the tools to thrive and now works as an Electrical Design Engineer. Speaking on his experience, he said: “The collaborative spirit at SMD is remarkable. Whenever challenges arise, our team unites, sharing ideas and expertise to craft optimal solutions.
“SMD has not only given me the opportunity to learn and grow but also to contribute meaningfully to cutting-edge projects, making my journey here incredibly rewarding.”
