Standard course cost is £2100 which includes accommodation and transport to/from the training venue.
What is the course schedule?
The course runs over seven consecutive days and covers both the PLC/SCADA and QNX control systems. The classroom days are from 0900-1615 hrs.
Why do you need to see my CV?
To ensure all trainees get the most out of the course it is a precondition that all candidates have the knowledge and experience required to follow and complete the course. CV screening is therefore used by the training team to assess the suitability of prospective trainees.
What are the entry requirements for the course?
Ideally prospective candidates would have Work Class experience (although not necessarily on SMD vehicles). Applications from industry experienced personnel with relevant qualifications will be considered.
What documentation will I need?
None, although if you have an IMCA ROV Pilots log book we can annotate to include the course details.
How do I book onto a course?

No this course is not accredited but we’re always open to suggestions. If you think an accredited course would be more useful then please let us know by emailing us SMD Training Team
Can I do the course if I don’t have any experience with Work Class ROV’s?
Because of the intensive nature of the training, we expect candidates to have prior engineering knowledge to underpin the course content. This would enable maximum benefit from the course. There are plans to introduce a basic level Work Class ROV course at a later date which will be suitable for less experienced personnel. If would like to be kept informed about new courses please click here to join our mailing list, and/or join our LinkedIn group.
