SMD offer a range of hydraulic thrusters available for subsea vehicle propulsion applications.  Curvetech HT thrusters have been available for a number of years and offer impressive performance with unparalleled reliability. 

The latest generation of Curvetech thrusters called the HTE series (recognised by a yellow nozzle) offer increased efficiency over HT units.  Available with both 300mm and 380mm propellers, the units are optimised for Workclass ROV hydraulic systems for increased performance.

HT & HTE THRUSTERS

Curvetech Thrusters provide reliable propulsion to many of the world’s remotely operated vehicles. Units with propellers ranging from 230mm to 750mm are available capable of producing up to 1200kgf of thrust. The latest generation of the HT thruster, the HTE, brings new levels of performance from improved efficiency.

MAINTENANCE & FLEXIBILITY

All Curvetech thrusters offer near equal forward and reverse thrust and are designed to minimise cavitation.  Identical seals and bearings are utilised on both HT and HTE thrusters to ensure compatibility. The simple design permits quick maintenance to ensure minimal down time.
