SMD offer a wide range of compensator units suitable for subsea oil-filled devices which need to be internally pressurised above ambient.  The compensators utilise either a roller diaphragm or bellow arrangement to transmit ambient changes in pressure.  The compensating mechanism is complemented with springs of various rates to ensure the internal pressure remains above that of the surrounding water.  Analogue transducers are available for all compensators to monitor oil level continually.

HEAVY DUTY RELIABILITY

Curvetech compensators are constructed from plastic and/or hard anodised aluminium with stainless steel fasteners to ensure corrosion resistance.  Versions are available suitable for operation to full ocean depth.

Curvetech Compensated Reservoirs utilise different sizes of Curvetech compensators mated to reservoir bodies to offer various volumes of oil storage.  Standard units incorporate an oil filter, water ingress alarm and temperature sensor.

All compensators and reservoirs are available with a variety of BSPP and SAE port sizes.
