SMD have extensive experience of marine cable handling, having supplied numerous system over the last twenty years. Systems supplied have utilised both Hydraulic and Electric drive systems across the complete range of handling equipment, including both Linear and Drum engine systems. The SMD Self Fleeting drum is particularly suited to sensitive, large MBR cables, where large cable tensions are required.
