HEAVY DUTY construction WORK CLASS ROV

The flagship of our ROV range, Quantum has class leading payload, thrust and tooling power figures. It is designed primarily for heavy construction and salvage work but can also be used as an effective survey platform. Space within Quantum’s frame for mounting tools and instruments is exceptional. This flexibility means better in-water performance and current holding capabilities when measured against rivals that need to use a skid. Quantum also uses the DVECSII control system which can be mastered quickly helping reduce operational risk. Access to the vehicles quick release components is fast and easy decreasing maintenance time and increasing availability. Quantum can be supplied as a complete package with SMD’s compact or extended TMS and 12te LARS.

Quantum is the ultimate work class tooling platform.

Designed primarily for construction or heavy subsea tool interface, Quantum offers clients huge payload, lifting capacity and tooling power. It is also perfect for clients who want to carry large numbers of custom instruments and cameras for specialist geological and science work. Available in various depths up to 4000m, Quantum is interchangeable with the Quasar ROV and associated TMS to help fleet management. It can be equipped with SMD’s DVECSII automated dynamic positioning system which includes unique features such as sonar lock and structure orbit. The vehicle can connect with HD cameras and serial and ethernet instruments quickly and efficiently. Full pilot and co-pilot graphical feedback is provided via advanced SCADA displays. The vehicle includes comprehensive real time diagnostics, data logging and remote connectivity. Quantum’s 250hp central HPU supplies two independent hydraulic circuits. The primary circuit provides power to the propulsion which can provide a large amount of thrust for good in-current performance whilst the second is an isolated circuit capable of running all types of work class ROV tool and skid. It has class leading amounts of free space in the porch and port side of the vehicle to accommodate multiple tools without the need for a skid. The vehicle is fitted with proven and reliable Curvetech® components mounted on slide-out runners and twist/release mechanisms for fast change out and ease of maintenance.
