Our company mission is to provide the best underwater equipment, underpinned by excellent engineering, first class technical support, training, documentation and provision of spares.
Our and our customers’ satisfaction depend on the skill and dedication of our engineers, technicians and support staff. Our engineers have a breadth of skills across all disciplines including mechanical, hydraulic, control, software and soil mechanics. We bring these together in a project based organisation focused on delivering our customers’ needs.
Our company was founded in 1971 as Soil Machine Dynamics and developed a reputation for supplying innovative equipment for the burial of pipelines and cables. Since then we have applied our engineering skills in subsea markets ranging from oil and gas, telecommunications, military, scientific and mining.
With the acquisition of Hydrovision in 2003 we entered the Workclass ROV market. Our continued strength and success come from being independent and stable and from the long term relationships we develop with our customers.
We have extensive facilities comprising a modern office with a computer network linking workstations throughout the company to run state of the art engineering design software, production control and inventory systems; and 3200m2 of workshop space with 100te capacity cranes fronting onto the River Tyne with its own quay for loadout.
We have excellent links for air, sea, road and rail.
